Flt Lt Alex Stathopoulos

Officer Commanding RAF Section

I first joined the CCF in 2011 whilst teaching at Wilson's school. In 2013 I received my commission at RAF Cranwell and transferred to Royal Russell CCF to take over the section from Sqn Ldr Ray Dunkley. I am currently a teacher at Royal Russell school where I am the head of computer science and the housemaster of Madden house. I have been teaching since 2004. My favourite activities in the CCF are shooting and whitewater rafting. I don't like heights.

Flt Lt Joe Blacker

I joined the CCF in 2014 shortly after Flt Lt Stathopoulos. I have prior military experience. I joined an Infantry Battalion working in both the recce and Intelligence Section and later the Royal Logistics Corps . I have also been a Police Officer within the Metropolitan Police Service, and have volunteered  before as an instructor with the Army Cadets. My most recent vocation was as a teacher and recently retired after 30 years. My favourite activities in the CCF are shooting and flying.

Plt Off Hannah Frewer

My first experience with the CCF was as a pupil at Royal Russell I joined in Year 9 and never looked back. As a cadet I got to the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer and once I had left school I became an adult instructor within the unit. I currently work as a Paramedic for the London Ambulance Service. My favourite activities within the CCF are flying and adventurous activities like high ropes.

ABOUT US >

The CCF (RAF), along with the Air Training Corps (ATC), forms the Air Cadet Organisation (ACO), better known as the Air Cadets.  The CCF (RAF) is the Air Cadets section of the Combined Cadet Force. There are around 200 RAF Sections with approximately 7,800 cadets and 540 adult volunteers. The CCF (RAF) aims to offer an exciting and challenging cadet experience, based around flying and aviation and so inspire young people to learn and develop new skills.
