CLASSIFICATIONS

During your time as a cadet you will progress through each classification syllabus. Some of this will be facilitated during weekly parade nights, however you can also use the resources here to undertake study in your own time. Assessments for most are completed online; If you think you are ready ask a member of staff to set up the assessments for you.

FIRST CLASS CADET

​

Complete basic training in:

  • CCF

  • Basic Drill

  • The RAF

  • History of Flight

  • Fundamental Principles of Airmanship

  • Map Reading

  • Initial Expedition Training

  • Basic Radio Communications

  • Written Exam

  • Drill Test

ABOUT US >

The CCF (RAF), along with the Air Training Corps (ATC), forms the Air Cadet Organisation (ACO), better known as the Air Cadets.  The CCF (RAF) is the Air Cadets section of the Combined Cadet Force. There are around 200 RAF Sections with approximately 7,800 cadets and 540 adult volunteers. The CCF (RAF) aims to offer an exciting and challenging cadet experience, based around flying and aviation and so inspire young people to learn and develop new skills.
