Part 3 - Senior/Master Cadet

In order to pass your part 3 test you must complete 2 of the sections the sections below. In class we will be covering Air Power and Military Aircraft Systems however you may wish to study a different section in your own time. The folders below contain the Logbooks which you need to fill in. The lessons themselves are on Ultilearn. The sections are:

  • Air Power

  • Military Aircraft Systems

  • Advanced Radio and Radar

  • Air Navigation

  • Airframes

  • Avionics and Aircraft Electrical Systems

  • Basic Principles of Pilot Navigation

  • Data Communications

  • Jet Engine Propulsion

  • Piston Engine Propulsion

  • Rocketry Propulsion

To complete the part 3 course you must pass 2 section tests on Ultilearn. These tests are open book and you are allowed to use the notes you have made. Ask your instructor to set up the tests when you are ready.

In order to gain the Master Cadet classification you must complete another 2 sections and pass the tests.

The CCF (RAF), along with the Air Training Corps (ATC), forms the Air Cadet Organisation (ACO), better known as the Air Cadets.  The CCF (RAF) is the Air Cadets section of the Combined Cadet Force. There are around 200 RAF Sections with approximately 7,800 cadets and 540 adult volunteers. The CCF (RAF) aims to offer an exciting and challenging cadet experience, based around flying and aviation and so inspire young people to learn and develop new skills.
